News: Urias on the horizon

Analysis: Urias, the club's No. 3 prospect, is a native of Magdalena de Kino and was batting .298/.416/.417 with El Paso. But Urias is only a few days removed from a hamstring injury that forced him out of the lineup last week. The Padres didn't want to press him straight into Major League action. That said, Urias might not be too far away from his first shot at the big leagues given his strong play thus far in the season and some struggles at second base on the Padres' big league roster.

10/15: Reviewing the Brew- Brewers: 8 Takeaways From David Stearns' End Of Season Press Conference (Fri, 15 Oct 2021 20:16:13 -0400)
Every year, after the Brewers play their final game, Brewers president of baseball operations David Stearns holds a press conference to discuss the end of the season and the upcoming offseason. Stearns is adept at saying a lot of words while saying not much at all. He never gets too much into spe

10/14: Reviewing the Brew- Brewers: What Are The Salary Arbitration Projections For 2022? (Thu, 14 Oct 2021 04:16:21 -0400)
It's an interesting debate every single year. What should a player's salary be? Arbitration has a process for settling that debate. It may be flawed, but players earn big raises once they hit arbitration and the Milwaukee Brewers have a large number of players entering this process. 14

10/14: The Cold Wire- Brewers Offense The Ultimate Problem In NLDS Loss (Thu, 14 Oct 2021 00:29:33 -0400)
The Milwaukee Brewers fell 5-4 to the Atlanta Braves in Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday. They were already down 2-1 in the series, which means they are now eliminated, and the Braves earned their ticket to the Championship Series. The winner of the San Francisco Dodge

10/13: Tomahawk Take- Atlanta Braves dodged yet another rule book disaster (Wed, 13 Oct 2021 12:16:08 -0400)
Ultimately, this ruling may have impacted the Brewers more than the Atlanta Braves, but this MLB rule is still plain wrong. The Atlanta Braves continue to be on the wrong side of the MLB rulebook... and for whatever reason, playoff games seem to draw all kinds of cruel and unusual interpretations

10/13: Reviewing the Brew- Brewers: 2021 Season Is A Massive Disappointment After NLDS Exit (Wed, 13 Oct 2021 04:19:04 -0400)
The Milwaukee Brewers, who at times seemed unstoppable this season, have been stopped. They've been stopped by the winner of the NL East, the Atlanta Braves. On paper, the Brewers were the far better team. They won more games, had a much bigger division lead, and had possibly the best rotati

10/13: Reviewing the Brew- Brewers Can’t Overcome Offensive Woes In Route To NLDS Exit (Wed, 13 Oct 2021 04:19:04 -0400)
Seemingly as quickly as it all began, it’s already ended as the Milwaukee Brewers were knocked out of the playoffs on Tuesday night. The Brewers were defeated 5-4 at the hands of the Atlanta Braves. In a series of extreme frustration for players, coaches and fans alike, the aggravation has fi...
