News: Clevinger goes six innings in no-decision

Analysis: Clevinger (4-2, 3.36 ERA) got some tough luck on each of the home runs he allowed. Eddie Rosario’s first-inning home run had a 92.2-mph exit velocity, according to Statcast, and only a 9.0 percent hit probability. Brian Dozier’s seventh-inning blast was hit harder, at 99.3 mph off the bat, but only traveled 359 feet, with a 12 percent hit probability. Even with the two homers allowed, Clevinger still has the 15th-lowest HR/9 rate (0.7) among qualified starters. His next start is scheduled for June 9 at Detroit.
