MLB.com Says
News: Sano clobbers two-run homer

Analysis: After striking out in his first two at-bats, Sano broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth with his two-run shot off a 1-1 four-seamer from Jakob Junis over the center-field wall. The long ball was his sixth of the year and first in four games since returning from the disabled list. It was only his second hit as well, as he's gone 2-for-15 after missing four weeks with a hamstring injury. It may take him awhile to get his timing back, but when healthy Sano (career .241 ISO) is one of the top sluggers in the game.

10/14: Zone Coverage- Bring Eduardo Escobar Back (Thu, 14 Oct 2021 20:29:20 -0400)
Even in some of the Minnesota Twins’ more forgettable seasons of the last decade, the team had a source of energy and passion that couldn’t be ignored. Former Twin Eduardo Escobar made a name for himself as a leader, both on the field and in the dugout, with his unique brand of pizzazz and passion f

Now that the Minnesota Twins season has concluded, the front office will be looking at how they can improve the roster to try and compete next year. The lineup will see more turnover than the last few seasons, but the most significant change in the batting order may be at designated hitter.

10/12: Puckett's Pond- A Lineup With My Favorite Minnesota Twins Part 1 (Tue, 12 Oct 2021 16:16:15 -0400)
Now that the Minnesota Twins have closed the book on their 2021 season, it is natural for fans to look to the future. In the short-term, since we are all baseball fans, we look forward to riveting and exciting playoff action and, of course, a World Series for the ages. But our minds naturally also d

10/7: Zone Coverage- What the Twins Can Learn From Each Team In the AL Central (Thu, 07 Oct 2021 20:29:49 -0400)
Just because somebody takes a step back, it doesn’t mean they need to turn around. While the Minnesota Twins were only able to muster 73 wins, the hope is that they learned a few key lessons along the way, as well. Consider it a disappointing yet necessary consolation prize. For this team, lessons w

10/6: Puckett's Pond- Minnesota Twins: Grading each Infielder's 2021 Season (Wed, 06 Oct 2021 00:15:55 -0400)
Since I started writing at Puckett's Pond, I've concluded every season by grading each Minnesota Twins player's individual season performance. In each of the past two seasons, I've had the ability to give out solid grades, but this year, very few people are going to earn passing

10/4: Zone Coverage- Maybe Sanó’s Offseason Promise Will Be Different This Time (Mon, 04 Oct 2021 16:31:25 -0400)
Several traditions are unlike any other in Minnesota sports. For the Minnesota Twins, it’s Miguel Sanó promising an offseason that will transform him into the superstar he was projected to be. This weekend, Sanó told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he planned on losing 30 pounds this offseason.
